Role Overview: Elementary Science Teacher
The Elementary Science Teacher will plan and implement engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and scientific thinking. The ideal candidate will create a hands-on, inquiry-driven classroom where students explore key scientific principles and develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver age-appropriate science lessons aligned with international curriculum standards
- Promote inquiry-based learning through experimentation and real-world application
- Support cross-curricular integration with subjects such as mathematics and language arts
- Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and adapt instruction
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents and participate in school community events
- Collaborate with teaching colleagues on curriculum planning and interdisciplinary initiatives
- Engage in ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with international or IB curricula preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for working in an international school environment
- Proficiency in educational technology tools and platforms
