Role Overview: Elementary Science Teacher
As an Elementary Science Teacher, you will develop and deliver engaging science lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning. You will foster scientific thinking through inquiry, experimentation, and real-world connections, guiding students to develop both content knowledge and scientific skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach inquiry-driven science lessons that align with international standards
- Encourage students to ask questions, explore scientific ideas, and make discoveries
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and assessment tools to meet student needs
- Create a safe and engaging classroom and laboratory environment
- Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels and subjects
- Participate in curriculum development and school-wide science initiatives
- Maintain regular communication with families about student progress
- Support and contribute to the broader school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school
- Familiarity with international curricula (IB PYP, NGSS, or similar)
- Excellent classroom management and instructional skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Passionate about teaching science and fostering a lifelong love of learning
- Technologically proficient and able to integrate digital tools in the classroom
- Collaborative, reflective, and committed to continuous professional development
