Position Overview: Elementary Science Teacher
The Elementary Science Teacher will guide students through hands-on science exploration aligned with the IB PYP. This role includes planning engaging lessons, fostering curiosity, and developing students’ scientific thinking. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary units and provide individualized support to meet diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver science lessons aligned with IB PYP objectives
- Use inquiry-based methods to encourage exploration and experimentation
- Integrate technology to enhance scientific learning
- Assess student understanding through formative and summative tools
- Collaborate with other educators on curriculum design
- Communicate consistently with parents and the school community
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field
- Teaching license or equivalent certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE)
- Minimum 2 years of science teaching experience
- Experience with IB PYP or other international curricula preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Ability to work in a collaborative, multicultural environment
- Proficient in educational technology and digital tools
