This school is based in Dakar, Senegal and is looking for an English B Teacher (MYP and DP)
JOB OVERVIEW
The MYP and DP English B Teacher instructs students in English Language, teaching communication in various cultural contexts, reading comprehension, and developing speaking skills as well as critical thinking. The MYP & DP English B teacher supports students in exploring visual, written and audio texts to develop a higher language proficiency, cultural awareness, and communication skills. This position is for a teacher with experience in a range of MYP language Acquisition phases and who can teach the English B course in the IBDP. For qualified and experienced candidates, this position comes with potential Head of Department responsibilities.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s degree preferred).
2. Teaching Certificate and strong knowledge of the MYP/DP curriculum.
3. At least three years of experience with IB programs, demonstrating commitment to the IB mission and ISD’s CORE Values.
4. The capacity to offer another subject is an asset
5. Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to fostering a multicultural, inclusive learning environment.
6. Passionate about Global Citizenship Education and Student Leadership.
