Role Overview: English Teacher (Cambridge IGCSE)
As an English Teacher, you will design and implement engaging lessons that strengthen literacy, communication, and critical thinking. You will support students in developing language proficiency and prepare them for IGCSE assessments with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE English curriculum
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learning styles and academic needs
- Design formative and summative assessments to track student progress
- Prepare students for IGCSE exams through structured review and targeted practice
- Provide timely, constructive feedback and maintain open communication with parents
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and respect
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching English, preferably in an international or IGCSE setting
- Solid understanding of the Cambridge IGCSE English curriculum
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Committed to professional development and lifelong learning
