Position Overview:
The English Teacher will create a dynamic and nurturing classroom environment that promotes active learning, critical thinking, and effective communication in English. The role requires a strong commitment to students’ academic success and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the school’s curriculum standards and grade level requirements.
• Develop lesson plans that incorporate reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills to enhance students’ language proficiency.
• Foster critical thinking and a love for literature, writing, and language among students.
• Assess and evaluate students’ progress using various assessment tools, providing timely and constructive feedback.
• Integrate technology into classroom instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
• Differentiate teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and student participation.
• Monitor students’ progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare progress reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices, share resources, and enhance curriculum development.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students’ academic performance and progress.
• Serve as a role model for professional standards, ethics, and behavior.
• Participate in school events, professional development opportunities, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in English Language, English Literature, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification/license (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years recent and full-time teaching experience in a K-12 school.
• Proven ability to teach English at the required grade level.
• Strong command of the English language, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in integrating technology into classroom instruction.
• Ability to create an inclusive, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute to school-wide initiatives.
