Role Overview: English Teacher (Upper Primary & Lower Secondary)
The English Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, student-centered lessons that align with international curriculum standards. You will foster reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills, while also helping students explore literature, media, and global perspectives through language.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English to students in Upper Primary and Lower Secondary levels
- Develop and deliver creative, inclusive, and challenging lesson plans
- Assess student performance through formative and summative assessments
- Encourage students to express themselves confidently in written and spoken English
- Promote a love for reading, writing, and language through engaging class activities
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and school-wide initiatives
- Participate in school events, academic planning, and professional learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge or IB is preferred
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in integrating educational technology into lessons
- Energetic, self-driven, and committed to fostering student growth
