Role Overview: English Teacher (Native Speaker)
The English Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons in language arts, reading, and writing. You will play a vital role in helping students build literacy skills, confidence in communication, and a love for literature. The ideal candidate brings creativity, strong subject knowledge, and a commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English language and literature based on American curriculum standards
- Plan engaging, differentiated lessons for middle and high school students
- Foster analytical and creative thinking through writing, discussion, and reading
- Create a classroom environment that supports academic and personal growth
- Evaluate student progress using various formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate language skills across disciplines
- Support school-wide literacy goals and contribute to extracurricular initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of English teaching experience
- Native-level proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Strong classroom management and instructional design skills
- Familiarity with American curriculum frameworks preferred
- Commitment to professional growth and collaboration
- Experience in international or multicultural settings is an advantage
