Role Overview
The Prep School English Teacher will design and deliver engaging English language and literature lessons that strengthen reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. The teacher will create a positive classroom culture that motivates students to explore language deeply and express themselves confidently.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English to prep school students using student-centered instructional methods
- Design lesson plans aligned with international curriculum standards
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
- Integrate technology to support and enhance student learning
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities that strengthen language skills
- Maintain strong communication with parents regarding student development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years teaching experience, preferably in an international school
- Strong knowledge of English language instruction and modern teaching practices
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to professional growth and collaborative teaching
- High level of spoken and written English proficiency
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom to enrich learning
