Position: English Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, well-structured English lessons aligned with the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.
• Teach literature, language, creative writing, and critical thinking to secondary students.
• Foster strong reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills through diverse instructional methods.
• Use modern teaching techniques, including digital tools, project-based learning, and inquiry-based approaches.
• Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback.
• Encourage independent learning, creativity, and analytical thinking in the classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-disciplinary projects that integrate literature, history, and global perspectives.
• Support students in extracurricular activities, including debate clubs, writing competitions, and drama performances.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching strategies and stay updated on IB standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent certification).
• Experience teaching English at the secondary or IB Diploma level.
• Strong knowledge of literary analysis, grammar, and contemporary teaching methodologies.
• Familiarity with IB English curriculum or willingness to undergo IB training.
• Commitment to student-centered learning and interactive teaching approaches.
• Excellent classroom management, collaboration, and communication skills.
