Role Overview
As an English Teacher at DIS, you will develop and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with international standards such as the Cambridge curriculum or the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). You will create literacy-rich environments that build reading, writing, and communication skills while fostering a love for language and learning.
You will also work closely with therapists, fellow teachers, and school leaders to ensure that lessons support each student’s unique educational and developmental needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in an international or inclusive school setting
- Deep understanding of differentiated instruction and learning strategies
- Familiarity with Cambridge or IPC curriculum frameworks
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- A growth mindset and commitment to ongoing professional development
- Proficiency with education technology tools to enhance learning outcomes
