Role Overview

The English Teacher will deliver engaging lessons that build students’ reading, writing, speaking, and critical thinking skills across multiple grade levels. The role requires designing inquiry-based learning opportunities, integrating digital tools, and fostering creativity and communication. Teachers at Chingshin collaborate with colleagues, contribute to curriculum development, and participate actively in extracurricular activities that enrich the school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach English courses aligned with the school’s bilingual and international curriculum
• Design lessons that encourage inquiry, creativity, and collaboration
• Assess student learning and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary projects
• Support extracurricular programs and wider school initiatives
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or bilingual school setting
• Familiarity with international curricula such as IB or IGCSE
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• High level of proficiency in spoken and written English
• Commitment to professional growth, innovation, and collaborative teaching
