This school is based in Geneva, Switzerland and is looking for an English Teacher – Extracurricular.

Main Purpose of the Role: As a qualified English teacher, you will be required to teach various grade levels in Middle and High School. You will engage and motivate students, regardless of their abilities, during one-to-one lessons after school starting from the end of August 2024.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach English to students at various grade levels in Middle and High School.
  • Provide one-to-one lessons after school, tailoring your approach to meet individual student needs.
  • Engage and motivate students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with other educators to align teaching methods and materials.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to help them improve their skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
  • Adhere to the school’s child protection guidelines and maintain a professional distance from students while developing effective and caring relationships.

 

Skills and Competencies:
  • Qualified English Teacher with relevant certifications.
  • Experience in teaching different levels of students.
  • Experience in teaching IB students is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly with students.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Language Requirements: English. French is an asset.

 

Conditions:
  • Extracurricular courses take place after 4 pm, on-site.
  • You must be aware of child protection guidelines and observe a professional distance from students while developing effective and caring relationships.
  • You understand and embrace the importance of diversity and inclusion and stand against discrimination in any form.
  • Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
