Role Overview: ESL Teacher
We are seeking a dedicated ESL Teacher who thrives in a multicultural environment and is passionate about language acquisition. You will play a key role in helping young learners build foundational English skills and engage confidently with the school’s curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver targeted English language instruction to primary students
- Support classroom teachers in scaffolding learning for English language learners
- Design engaging lessons that develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
- Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with staff to promote inclusive and language-rich learning environments
- Foster strong communication with families regarding student development
- Participate in school-wide events and contribute to ongoing curriculum enrichment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in TESOL, ESL, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (TESOL, QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years’ experience in an ESL or EAL role
- Experience with international or inquiry-based curricula preferred (e.g., IB PYP)
- High level of English proficiency in both speaking and writing
- Strong interpersonal, classroom management, and organizational skills
- A collaborative, proactive approach to teaching and learning
