Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of EYFS Homeroom Teacher. This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver engaging, high-standard early years instruction.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality, inspiring EYFS units aligned strictly with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Develop and execute engaging, multi-sensory, and purposeful learning activities across all seven areas of learning.
• Assess student development consistently through observation and evidence collection, accurately linking evidence to the EYFS profile. Provide timely, constructive feedback to parents.
• Collaborate consistently with EYFS colleagues, teaching assistants, and leadership on curriculum mapping, resource development, and safeguarding protocols.
• Maintain a positive, highly organized, and professional classroom environment conducive to active learning and exploration.
• Be independent, self-motivated, and proactive in enriching the curriculum and developing wider school initiatives, such as leading parent workshops or supporting transition activities.
• Ability to use new technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents, and to build strong relationships with all members of the school community, upholding the school’s family-focused ethos.

Qualification

• Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education.
• Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE with EYFS specialization, or equivalent) specifically for Early Years teaching.
• Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience teaching within the EYFS age range (Nursery/Reception), with significant, verified experience teaching the British EYFS curriculum in a British or international school setting being mandatory.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of EYFS pedagogy and developmentally appropriate practice.
• Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication and collaboration skills.
• Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
