This school is based in Abu Dhabi City, United Arab Emirates and is looking for a Agriculture and Food Technology Instructor.

To provide high-quality education in agriculture and food technology, focusing on dry farming, vertical farming (hydroponics), livestock farming, and food processing, with an emphasis on organic farming. The instructor will prepare students for careers in agriculture and food technology through practical and theoretical instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans in agriculture and food technology, aligning with industry standards and educational best practices.
  • Teach and mentor students in dry farming, vertical farming (hydroponics), livestock farming, and food processing, emphasizing organic farming techniques.
  • Conduct practical sessions to provide hands-on experience in modern agricultural methods and food processing technologies.
  • Evaluate student performance through assessments, practical projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in agriculture and food technology and integrate them into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to enhance the educational experience and opportunities for students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance instructional skills and industry knowledge.

 

Job Specification:
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in agriculture and food technology, including experience in TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training) or related areas.
  • At least 2 years of teaching or training experience with qualifications delivery in a relevant field.

 

Education / Certifications:
  • Master Craftsman Diploma or University degree in Educational Pedagogy, Agriculture, Food Technology, or related fields.

 

Technical Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in dry farming, vertical farming (hydroponics), livestock farming, and food processing, with a focus on organic farming.
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • Innovative and able to integrate new teaching methods and technologies.

 

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in delivering practical training and hands-on agricultural and food technology techniques.
  • Ability to teach and mentor students in a supportive and engaging manner.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and industry professionals.
