Role Overview: A-Level Further Mathematics Teacher

As a Further Mathematics Teacher, you will lead advanced mathematics instruction for senior high school students enrolled in the A-Level program. Your teaching will prepare students for success in university entrance exams and develop their problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and rigorous A-Level Further Mathematics lessons
• Design and implement lesson plans that meet curriculum standards and student learning needs
• Use a variety of assessment tools to monitor progress and inform instruction
• Support students in developing mathematical reasoning and independent study skills
• Collaborate with colleagues to refine curriculum and coordinate cross-departmental projects
• Provide academic support and guidance to students preparing for competitive university admissions
• Participate in school-wide events, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field
• Valid teaching license or certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, ideally with A-Level Mathematics or equivalent international curriculum
• Strong subject knowledge in pure mathematics, statistics, and mechanics
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Demonstrated commitment to professional learning and innovation in teaching
• Ability to integrate technology effectively into the learning process
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented
