Role Overview: Global Perspectives Teacher (Upper Primary & Lower Secondary)
As a Global Perspectives Teacher, you will encourage students to explore pressing global issues, analyze different perspectives, and collaborate on problem-solving projects. You will build students’ critical thinking, research, and communication skills—key competencies for the 21st century.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons aligned with Global Perspectives learning objectives
- Facilitate classroom discussions on global issues, ethics, and social responsibility
- Guide students through inquiry-based research and collaborative projects
- Encourage respectful debate and independent thinking
- Use formative and summative assessments to track progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary and cross-curricular learning
- Participate in professional development, curriculum planning, and school events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international setting
- Familiarity with Cambridge Global Perspectives or similar international curricula
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
- Confidence using technology to support teaching and learning
- Self-motivated, globally minded, and eager to contribute to whole-school initiatives
