Role Overview: Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher
The Grade 1 Homeroom Teacher will teach core subjects such as English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, while creating a nurturing and engaging classroom environment. You will play a central role in building students’ foundational academic skills and guiding their personal development through a well-balanced and creative curriculum.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a closely related field
- Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of one year of experience teaching primary or lower elementary students
- Strong understanding of age-appropriate pedagogy for Grade 1 learners
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Commitment to working in a culturally diverse, international school setting
- Proactive, organized, and able to contribute to school-wide initiatives
- Competent in using educational technologies to enhance student learning
