HeadStart International School is seeking to appoint an experienced and passionate Head of Learning Support to join its dynamic team in Phuket, Thailand. The Learning Support Department plays a key role in enabling all students to thrive, regardless of individual learning needs. As the Head of Learning Support, you will lead the development and implementation of support strategies, work closely with classroom teachers and families, and help create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment across the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Learning Support team across Primary and Secondary levels
- Develop individualized learning plans and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt instruction for students with diverse needs
- Provide training and guidance on best practices in inclusive education
- Liaise with parents, educational psychologists, and external professionals
- Promote a school-wide culture of inclusion and support
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education, or a related field
- Qualified teacher status (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role or related position
- Strong understanding of the English National Curriculum
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High proficiency in English, both spoken and written
- Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
