Role: Head of Mathematics
The Head of Mathematics will provide academic leadership, oversee the mathematics curriculum, and support a team of dedicated educators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching mathematics, curriculum development, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Mathematics Department, ensuring high-quality instruction across all grade levels.
- Develop and implement an engaging and challenging mathematics curriculum aligned with the IB framework.
- Support and mentor teachers, promoting professional growth and best teaching practices.
- Use data-driven strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative learning environment.
- Teach Mathematics at the MYP and DP levels, inspiring students to develop strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organize math-related extracurricular activities, competitions, and enrichment programs.
- Work closely with school leadership to support academic goals and initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
- A PGCE, PGDE, QTS, or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience (preferred); leadership experience is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum (MYP/DP) is desirable.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
