RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibility of the Head of Science to:
- Formulate and implement a development plan for Science leading through Key Stage 3, IGCSE and A-Levels/IB Diploma Programme.
- Support the development of science teaching and learning throughout the primary and secondary school.
- Lead the Science department in all aspects of its work, liaising closely with colleagues.
- Act as a teacher by delivering high quality lessons.
- Maintain good order in the classroom and around the school.
- Safeguard the health and safety of everyone both when on the school
premises and when engaged in authorized school activities including offsite.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree – Essential
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) – Essential
- Master’s Degree – Desirable
