This school is based in Istanbul, Turkey and is looking for a High School Vice Principal. 

Çevre Koleji is seeking an experienced and dedicated High School Vice Principal to support the principal in leading our high school division. The successful candidate will assist in the strategic direction, foster a positive school culture, and ensure the highest standards of academic excellence and student development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership Support: Assist the principal in providing visionary leadership and direction for the high school, promoting a culture of academic excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Support the development and implementation of a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum that meets the needs of all students and aligns with national and international standards.
  • Student Achievement: Monitor student academic progress and support the implementation of strategies to improve student outcomes and address areas of concern.
  • Faculty Support: Assist in recruiting, training, and evaluating high school faculty and staff, fostering a collaborative and professional learning community.
  • Student Development: Promote the holistic development of students, including their academic, social, emotional, and physical well-being.
  • Parent and Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the wider school community, ensuring open communication and active involvement in school activities.
  • Disciplinary Oversight: Manage student behavior and disciplinary issues, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Administrative Duties: Assist with budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation to support educational goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant educational laws, regulations, and school policies.
  • Professional Development: Encourage and support ongoing professional development for high school staff.
  • School Improvement: Assist in leading school improvement initiatives, using data-driven decision-making to enhance educational programs and outcomes.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Support and promote a wide range of extracurricular activities that enrich the student experience.

 

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Valid administrative certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably as an assistant principal or department head.
  • Proven track record of supporting student achievement and school performance.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and the community.
  • Commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Experience with budgeting and resource management.
  • Familiarity with national and international educational standards and best practices.
