This school is based in Mansourieh El Metn, Lebanon and is looking for an Assistant Director. 

Overview:

Eastwood International School is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our leadership team as an Assistant Director. The successful candidate will support the Director in overseeing the daily operations of the school, ensuring high standards of education, and fostering a positive learning environment. This is a full-time position, starting from the academic year 2024/25.

Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
  1. Assist the Director in the overall management of the school, ensuring effective implementation of the school’s mission and vision.
  2. Oversee the academic programs and support services to ensure they meet the educational needs of all students.
  3. Collaborate with department heads and teachers to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies that enhance student learning.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of teaching staff, providing constructive feedback and professional development opportunities.
  5. Ensure compliance with school policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

 

Student Support and Development:
  1. Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that supports student well-being and academic achievement.
  2. Address student behavioral issues and implement appropriate disciplinary measures.
  3. Work closely with the counseling and support services to provide comprehensive support for students’ academic and emotional needs.

 

Community Engagement:
  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, students, and the school community.
  2. Organize and participate in school events, parent meetings, and community outreach activities.
  3. Communicate regularly with parents and stakeholders to keep them informed about school initiatives and student progress.

 

Operational and Administrative Duties:
  1. Assist in the development and management of the school budget.
  2. Oversee the maintenance and improvement of school facilities and resources.
  3. Ensure the effective use of technology in the classroom and administrative functions.
  4. Manage daily school operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation.

 

Strategic Planning and Development:
  1. Contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s strategic plan.
  2. Identify and pursue opportunities for school improvement and innovation.
  3. Stay informed about educational trends and best practices to ensure the school remains at the forefront of educational excellence.

 

Requirements:
  • Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within an educational setting.
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to a student-centered approach to education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using technology for educational and administrative purposes.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
