Role: Head of Primary

As the Head of Primary, you will play a crucial role in driving the school’s strategic vision while maintaining high academic standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, managing, and monitoring progress within the Primary Key Stage to ensure outstanding student outcomes.
• Implementing a clear vision for the Key Stage aligned with the school’s ethos and values.
• Overseeing curriculum planning, assessment strategies, and behaviour management across the Primary phase.
• Creating a positive and engaging learning environment that promotes student development and well-being.
• Driving the High Performance Learning (HPL) framework to support academic excellence and student growth.
• Managing staff resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of time, skills, and budgets.
• Providing mentorship and professional development opportunities to encourage staff growth and leadership potential.
• Collaborating with the Leadership Team to deliver the School Improvement Plan and meet key performance targets.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed as a Head of Primary, you should have:

• A certified teaching qualification such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE, or an equivalent degree.
• Proven leadership experience in a Primary School within a British curriculum setting.
• NPQH or NPQSL certification (preferred).
• A strong background in curriculum development, student assessment, and behaviour management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster relationships with staff, students, and parents.
• A coaching approach to staff development with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• A creative and enthusiastic mindset to contribute to school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
