Role Overview: High School Biology Teacher
We are seeking a talented Biology Teacher to deliver engaging and inquiry-based science lessons to students in the upper school. The role involves teaching students from Years 9 to 13 and preparing them for internationally recognized examinations such as IGCSEs, A-Levels, or IB Diploma.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach biology in alignment with British or international curricula
- Develop and implement lessons that promote critical thinking and scientific exploration
- Assess student progress through a range of formative and summative tools
- Foster a classroom environment that values curiosity and active participation
- Collaborate with science department colleagues on interdisciplinary learning
- Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities
- Maintain open and constructive communication with parents and school stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology or related discipline
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or international equivalent)
- At least two years of experience teaching high school biology
- Familiarity with IGCSE, A-Level, or IB science frameworks preferred
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to student-centered learning
- Fluent English proficiency in both speech and writing
