Role Overview: High School Business Studies Teacher
The Business Studies Teacher will deliver engaging lessons to IGCSE and A-Level students, helping them understand complex business concepts and apply critical thinking in real-world scenarios. This educator will inspire curiosity, develop analytical skills, and prepare students for academic and professional success in global business contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach IGCSE and A-Level Business Studies in accordance with the British curriculum
- Plan interactive lessons that build commercial awareness and decision-making skills
- Track student progress through formative and summative assessments
- Guide students in coursework, presentations, and exam preparation
- Collaborate with colleagues on cross-disciplinary projects and enrichment activities
- Support school initiatives, student-led enterprises, and co-curricular programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of secondary teaching experience
- Familiarity with IGCSE and A-Level syllabi preferred
- Strong classroom management and student engagement strategies
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using digital tools to enhance learning
