Role Overview
The High School Business Studies Teacher will deliver the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level curriculum, guiding students to understand business concepts, financial systems, entrepreneurship, and global markets. The role requires creativity in lesson planning, effective classroom management, and a dedication to preparing students for future success in higher education and careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Business Studies at IGCSE and A-Level in alignment with the Cambridge curriculum
- Develop engaging, inquiry-based lessons that encourage critical thinking and real-world application
- Prepare students for assessments through structured guidance and academic support
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school-wide initiatives
- Support extracurricular programs and student-led business projects
- Integrate technology into teaching to enhance learning outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in international schools
- Familiarity with Cambridge or other international curricula
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
- Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse, multicultural environment
- Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning
