The Overseas Chinese Academy of Chiway Suzhou (OCAC) is seeking an experienced and dedicated High School Business Teacher to join its dynamic international faculty. Founded in 2017, OCAC is a K–12 international school in Suzhou, China, created to meet the educational needs of returning Chinese families. Role: High School Business Teacher
The High School Business Teacher will teach courses aligned with the IB Diploma Programme and other international standards. The role includes guiding students through real-world business case studies, encouraging entrepreneurial thinking, and preparing learners for external assessments.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Business Management to high school students, including IB DP level
- Design engaging, concept-driven lesson plans focused on real-world applications
- Assess student performance using varied and authentic tools
- Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and instruction
- Support student learning beyond the classroom through mentoring and co-curricular activities
- Engage in ongoing professional development and curriculum innovation
- Promote a culture of academic rigor, curiosity, and collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field
- Recognized teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching Business in a high school or international school
- Strong familiarity with IB or other international curricula
- Effective communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written)
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and working in a diverse school community
- Comfort using technology to enhance instruction and student learning
