Role Overview: High School Chemistry Teacher
We are looking for a teacher who can deliver engaging and rigorous high school Chemistry instruction, ideally within the IB Diploma Programme. Candidates should have a deep understanding of Chemistry concepts, a commitment to student growth, and the ability to inspire learners through hands-on, inquiry-based lessons.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach high school Chemistry courses aligned with IB or similar international standards
- Promote laboratory safety and guide students in practical, experiment-based learning
- Assess student progress through varied and ongoing evaluation methods
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and interdisciplinary initiatives
- Participate actively in school life, student activities, and professional development
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and academically driven classroom environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry or a related science field
- Valid teaching license or international certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience teaching Chemistry at the secondary level
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, AP, or A-Level
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated and committed to professional growth
- Experience using educational technology to enhance teaching and learning
