Role Overview: High School Computer Science Teacher
We are looking for a qualified educator who can inspire students in the study of computer science and digital technologies. You will teach IGCSE and A-Level Computer Science and encourage students to develop problem-solving abilities, logical thinking, and real-world coding skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality computer science lessons at IGCSE and A-Level
- Engage students with hands-on programming, systems design, and computational theory
- Monitor academic progress using assessments and feedback strategies
- Contribute to curriculum development and innovation in the ICT department
- Support student-led tech clubs, coding competitions, or robotics activities
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school-wide initiatives
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster academic growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in a secondary or international school setting
- Experience with IGCSE and A-Level Computer Science preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in coding languages and digital tools used in education
- Commitment to inclusive, inquiry-based, and student-centered learning
- Fluent in spoken and written English
