Role Overview: High School Counsellor

The High School Counsellor will guide students through academic planning, emotional challenges, and personal development. This position plays a crucial role in supporting learners as they navigate adolescence and prepare for university and career pathways. You will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to ensure every child receives the emotional and educational support they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counselling for high school students
• Assist students with course selection, university applications, and career planning
• Monitor student progress and intervene when emotional or academic concerns arise
• Collaborate with faculty to implement student support strategies
• Promote mental health awareness and well-being within the school community
• Maintain accurate student records and adhere to confidentiality policies

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in counselling, psychology, education, or a related field
• Valid certification or license in school counselling or a related profession
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a school counselling role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to work with diverse student populations in an international setting
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Self-motivated, organized, and committed to student success
• Comfortable using digital tools to support student engagement and recordkeeping
