Role Overview
The High School English Literature Teacher will teach a variety of courses, including American, British, and World Literature. The teacher will guide students through close reading, critical analysis, and discussion of literary texts. This role also involves developing strong writing skills, fostering creative expression, and encouraging thoughtful engagement with literature. Teachers at GCA actively integrate Christian values into the curriculum and contribute to a positive, student-centered learning environment.
Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, English Literature, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably in international schools
- Strong knowledge of English literature and high school curriculum standards
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English
- Enthusiasm for teaching in a diverse international school setting
- Commitment to professional development and Christian education values
