Role Overview: High School English Teacher
As a High School English Teacher, you will engage students in literature, composition, and communication skills that foster critical thinking, creativity, and academic excellence. You will contribute to an inspiring classroom environment and collaborate with colleagues to support student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature following the British curriculum or equivalent
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and motivate students
- Assess student learning through varied formative and summative strategies
- Support students in preparing for external examinations and university admissions
- Participate actively in school events, pastoral duties, and co-curricular programs
- Collaborate with the English department and other faculty to enhance interdisciplinary learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary level
- Familiarity with international or British curricula
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Passion for literature, writing, and student-centered education
