Role Overview: High School English Teacher
We are looking for a dedicated educator to teach English Language Arts to high school students. The successful candidate will bring literature and writing to life through engaging, standards-based instruction that prepares students for college and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English literature and writing to students in grades 9–12
- Design and implement a rigorous, student-centered curriculum
- Encourage analytical thinking and creative expression
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and events
- Participate in extracurricular and school-wide activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching credential (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of two years of English teaching experience
- Familiarity with American and international school curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
