Bunka Suginami Canadian International School (BSCIS) is seeking a highly skilled and passionate High School Math Teacher to join our growing academic team in Tokyo, Japan. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who values bilingual, bicultural education and wants to inspire students to achieve excellence in mathematics while preparing them for success in higher education and beyond.
Established in 2015, Bunka Suginami Canadian International School (BSCIS) offers a distinctive Double-Diploma Program that allows students to graduate with both a British Columbia (BC) High School Diploma and a Japanese High School Certificate. Located in Tokyo’s Suginami ward, the school blends the strengths of Canadian and Japanese education, giving students access to a rigorous academic program while developing essential skills in problem-solving, creativity, and cross-cultural communication.
By combining the Canadian BC curriculum with the Japanese system, BSCIS provides students with a well-rounded, future-ready education. Our graduates move on to leading universities in Japan, Canada, and around the world.
The High School Math Teacher will deliver engaging and challenging mathematics lessons that build strong conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. The teacher will support students in mastering core mathematical principles while encouraging critical thinking, collaboration, and resilience. Beyond the classroom, the role includes guiding students through academic challenges, preparing them for university entrance, and contributing to extracurricular school activities.
If you are a qualified and motivated Math Teacher, we encourage you to apply.
