Role Overview
The High School Math Teacher will deliver engaging lessons in algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and statistics. You will guide students to master essential math concepts, apply problem-solving strategies, and develop logical reasoning skills. The role also involves supporting students in standardized test preparation, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to whole-school initiatives and extracurricular activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality math lessons across multiple high school levels
- Support students in developing strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Integrate technology to enhance the teaching and learning of mathematics
- Provide constructive feedback and monitor student progress
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-curricular projects
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic achievement
- Participate in extracurricular programs, clubs, and school-wide events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- At least 3 years of teaching experience in high school mathematics
- Familiarity with international curricula and global education standards
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- High proficiency in spoken and written English
- Passion for teaching in a diverse international school community
- Commitment to continuous professional development and innovation in teaching
