Role Overview
The High School Math Teacher will teach upper-level math courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. The teacher will encourage critical thinking, foster a love of learning, and guide students in applying mathematical concepts to real-world contexts. In addition to classroom instruction, the role includes mentoring students, collaborating with faculty, and contributing to extracurricular programs that strengthen the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach a range of high school math courses aligned with Morrison Academy’s curriculum
- Develop engaging lesson plans that build problem-solving and analytical skills
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design and school initiatives
- Integrate technology to enhance teaching and learning
- Support school activities, clubs, and community events
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of relevant teaching experience
- Familiarity with U.S.-based or international curricula
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to professional growth and collaborative teaching
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
