Role Overview

The High School Math Teacher will design and deliver engaging lessons across a range of mathematics subjects, including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics. The role involves encouraging problem-solving, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking while supporting students as they prepare for college-level coursework. Teachers at GCA collaborate with colleagues, integrate Christian values into learning, and enrich student life through extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach high school math courses aligned with the U.S. curriculum
• Create lessons that foster inquiry, critical thinking, and practical application
• Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and cross-disciplinary projects
• Support student growth through mentorship and participation in extracurricular programs
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience, ideally in high school or international schools
• Strong knowledge of high school mathematics curriculum and pedagogy
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• Commitment to professional growth and Christian-based education
