Role Overview
The High School PE Teacher will design and deliver a dynamic physical education program that promotes fitness, teamwork, and lifelong wellness. You will encourage students to engage in a variety of sports and physical activities while fostering discipline, resilience, and leadership. This role is ideal for teachers who are passionate about sports education and eager to work in an international school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach high school physical education aligned with international standards
- Create engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, health, and well-being
- Organize and coach school sports teams, tournaments, and events
- Encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth through athletics
- Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Integrate technology and modern strategies into PE instruction
- Collaborate with colleagues to support extracurricular and school-wide initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching physical education
- Familiarity with international curricula and sports programs
- Strong classroom management and motivational skills
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Independent, self-motivated, and proactive in school initiatives
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and learning
- Enthusiasm for working in a multicultural international school environment
