Role: High School PE Teacher
As a High School PE Teacher, you will:
- Design and deliver engaging physical education lessons for high school students
- Promote healthy living through fitness, sports, and wellness programs
- Incorporate physical activities and team sports to build teamwork and leadership skills
- Encourage students to lead active, balanced lifestyles outside of school
- Organize and manage sports events, intramurals, and fitness competitions
- Work with students individually to support physical development and achievement
- Collaborate with faculty members on cross-disciplinary projects that incorporate physical fitness
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (Alberta Teaching Certificate preferred)
- Proven experience in teaching physical education at the high school level
- Commitment to student well-being and fostering a positive learning environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Native English speakers preferred
