Role Overview: High School Physics Teacher
The school seeks a qualified Physics teacher who can lead high school students through rigorous and engaging coursework, including IB Physics. The role requires subject-matter expertise, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for science education.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver dynamic Physics lessons that align with the IB Diploma Programme and OCAC curriculum standards
- Integrate scientific investigation and experimentation into daily instruction
- Use diverse assessment tools to monitor student progress and support academic growth
- Participate in department planning, curriculum development, and school initiatives
- Collaborate with faculty and contribute to the broader school community
- Encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and innovation among students
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics or a related field
- Valid teaching credential (QTS, PGCE, teaching license, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching high school Physics, preferably in an international school
- Familiarity with international curricula such as IB, AP, or A-Levels
- Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Comfort using educational technology in teaching and learning
- A proactive, student-centered approach to instruction
