Role Overview
The High School Science Teacher will be responsible for teaching science subjects to upper-grade students, preparing them for university-level study, and guiding them to achieve excellence in STEM education. This role involves creating engaging lessons, fostering inquiry-based learning, and encouraging students to apply scientific concepts to real-world contexts.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach high school science subjects, such as biology, chemistry, or physics, depending on expertise
- Design and deliver lessons that promote inquiry, problem-solving, and academic excellence
- Use assessments to measure student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s bilingual and international curriculum
- Support extracurricular science activities, clubs, and competitions
- Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to foster a positive learning environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science Education or a related field
- Valid teaching license or certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience in a high school setting
- Strong knowledge of science curriculum and international education standards
- Effective classroom management and excellent communication skills
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, multicultural school community
