This school is based in Istanbul, Turkey and is looking for a History Teacher. 

Çevre Koleji is seeking a passionate and experienced History Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire students to appreciate and understand historical events, cultures, and perspectives while fostering critical thinking and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development and Delivery: Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans that align with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
  • Student Engagement: Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and a love for history.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Resource Management: Utilize a variety of instructional resources and technologies to enhance learning and engage students.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a disciplined, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and historical scholarship.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student learning and school initiatives.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs by organizing or participating in history-related clubs, activities, or field trips.
  • Student Support: Provide additional academic support to students as needed, including tutoring and mentoring.


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in History or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Teaching certification in History.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or diverse educational setting.
  • Experience with IB, AP, or similar international curricula preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of historical content and pedagogical methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools.
  • Ability to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Commitment to fostering a love for history and lifelong learning.
