Role Overview
The ideal candidate is a motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of Primary Homeroom Teacher. This specialist position demands a dedicated educator who can effectively design, manage, and deliver engaging, high-standard lessons across all core Primary subjects.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and teach high-quality, rigorous lessons across all core curriculum areas including English, Mathematics, Science, and Humanities (as part of the homeroom teacher role). Align instruction strictly with the UK National Curriculum requirements and Inspiros’s academic standards.
- Develop and execute developmentally appropriate learning engagements that promote strong literacy skills (reading, writing, speaking), conceptual mastery in mathematics, and inquiry-based learning in science.
- Integrate cross-curricular links and foster a love of learning through exciting and purposeful activities that align with the school’s vision of curiosity and leadership.
- Assess student learning consistently using formative and summative tools, tracking individual student progress accurately against UK national standards. Provide timely, constructive feedback and actively communicate progress with parents.
- Collaborate consistently with Key Stage and subject specialist colleagues on unit planning, moderation, resource development, and student welfare.
- Maintain a positive, highly organized, and professional classroom environment conducive to active learning and student success.
- Actively participate in professional development sessions and proactively contribute to enriching the co-curricular program and wider school initiatives.
- Use new technologies appropriately and creatively to enhance the quality of teaching and learning for all students.
Qualifications
- Education: Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Primary Education or a closely related field.
- Certification: Possess a valid teaching license or official certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent) specifically for Primary teaching.
- Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Primary Homeroom Teacher, ideally within a British or international curriculum setting (Key Stage 1 or 2).
- Curriculum Knowledge: Show strong, demonstrated knowledge of the UK National Curriculum’s Primary framework and its effective implementation.
- Skills: Maintain excellent classroom management and superb communication skills.
- Language: Be highly proficient in spoken and written English.
