Role Overview: Humanities Teacher
As the Humanities Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across humanities subjects, helping students understand historical, cultural, and geographical contexts that shape the world. You will create inquiry-driven lessons that develop analytical thinking, communication, and global awareness in line with the Cambridge IGCSE framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach humanities subjects such as history and geography at the secondary level
- Plan and deliver high-quality, student-centered lessons aligned with the IGCSE curriculum
- Encourage critical thinking, debate, and reflective learning
- Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress
- Support learners with diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Collaborate with faculty to integrate interdisciplinary learning opportunities
- Participate in school-wide activities and events
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Humanities, History, Geography, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within an international curriculum
- Strong content knowledge and experience teaching IGCSE is a plus
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Proactive, collaborative, and student-focused
