Role Overview: IB/A-Level English Teacher
The English Teacher will deliver engaging instruction aligned with international curricula such as the International Baccalaureate (IB) or Cambridge A-Level. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in literature, composition, and language acquisition, along with the ability to differentiate instruction and create inclusive, dynamic classrooms.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language and Literature to high school students
- Develop lesson plans that reflect IB, A-Level, or similar international standards
- Foster reading comprehension, analytical writing, and communication skills
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support school initiatives, including extracurricular programs and community events
- Collaborate with faculty to promote interdisciplinary learning
- Integrate technology effectively into teaching practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching license or recognized certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in international settings
- Deep knowledge of international English curricula such as IB, A-Level, or AP
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Self-driven, organized, and dedicated to continuous professional development
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
