Role Overview: IB/AP Economics Teacher

As an IB/AP Economics Teacher, you will deliver high-quality instruction to upper secondary students. You will challenge learners to apply economic theory to global and local contexts while guiding them through key concepts in both IB and AP curricula.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Economics within the IB Diploma Programme and AP frameworks
• Design engaging lessons that encourage inquiry, analysis, and critical thinking
• Prepare students for external assessments, including IB and AP exams
• Assess student work using relevant rubrics and provide meaningful feedback
• Collaborate with fellow educators on curriculum development and planning
• Support extracurricular academic initiatives and school-wide events
• Maintain regular communication with parents and academic advisors

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics or a related discipline
• Valid teaching certification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching IB and/or AP Economics
• Strong understanding of international education standards and assessment methods
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to integrate educational technology into classroom instruction
• Commitment to student-centered learning and professional development
