Role Overview: IB DP Business Management Teacher
The successful candidate will teach Business Management within the IB Diploma Programme (DP), helping students understand organizational functions, strategy, and real-world business challenges. The role focuses on inquiry-based learning, case study analysis, and practical application.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the IB DP Business Management curriculum with a focus on critical thinking and real-world application
- Create engaging lesson plans aligned with IB standards and learning objectives
- Assess student progress using a variety of formative and summative strategies
- Integrate current business news, economic trends, and global case studies into classroom instruction
- Guide students through internal assessments and preparation for final IB exams
- Participate in collaborative planning, departmental meetings, and school initiatives
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues
- Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline
- Recognized teaching certification (QTS, PGCE, teaching license, or equivalent)
- Minimum two years of teaching experience in IB or international school settings
- Strong knowledge of the IB DP Business Management curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Fluent in spoken and written English

- Able to incorporate digital tools and technology into instruction effectively
