Role Overview

The IB DP Math Teacher will deliver engaging and challenging lessons that align with the International Baccalaureate curriculum. The role involves guiding students through higher-level mathematical concepts, fostering problem-solving skills, and preparing them for IB assessments and global university entry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach a range of IB DP Mathematics courses, including standard and higher levels
• Develop lesson plans that encourage inquiry, logical reasoning, and real-world application
• Prepare students for internal and external IB assessments
• Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students pursuing mathematics-related fields
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen interdisciplinary learning across subjects
• Engage in extracurricular activities and contribute to school-wide initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
• At least 3 years of teaching experience, ideally within an IB or international school setting
• Strong knowledge of the IB Diploma Programme Mathematics curriculum
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Commitment to professional growth and collaborative teaching practices
• High proficiency in spoken and written English
• Ability to integrate technology to enhance mathematics instruction
